Inca Trail through the jungle to Machu Picchu

Itinerary.

First day:


Departure from Cusco at 07:30 hrs by bus to the Abra de Málaga.

Will begin the descent with the bikes towards the town of Santa María.

Second day:


Breakfast at 06:00 hrs, we will start walking.

After two hours of walking we will enter the original Inca trail of pure stone.

Dinner and accommodation in Santa Teresa.

 

Third day:


After breakfast we will continue with our walk towards the town of Aguas Calientes.

Until we reach Hidroelectrica, where we will have lunch.

We will arrive at Machu Picchu Pueblo.

 

Fourth day:


Approximately at 04:30 hrs to walk to Machupicchu an hour and a half up the stairs.

The guided is two hours.

Later, we will return to Machu Picchu town from where the train will take us to the city of Cusco.

Transfer you to your hotel in the city of Cusco.

Description.

 

 

Cusco - Santa María: Bicycle 55km - Biking.


Departure from Cusco at 07:30 hrs by bus to the Abra de Málaga (4350m), our starting point where prior conditioning with safety equipment (helmets, knee pads, vests) will begin the descent with the bikes towards the town of Santa María in the tour we will see archeological centers such as Huamanmarca and Inka Carcel, we will also enjoy the landscape that changes according to our route, the tour in the bicycles is 5 hours, the weather. Santa María - Santa Teresa: Trekking (23 km).


Breakfast at 06:00 hrs, we will start walking on the road enjoying the jungle's own landscape as diverse varieties of fruit plants, wild animals, our guide will also teach us about medicinal plants in the area with different functions than the locals They use to cure their diseases. After two hours of walking we will enter the original Inca trail of pure stone, at a height of 1758 meters above sea level. From that point you can see the Salkantay snow-capped mountain, continuing with the hike to Q'ellomayo where you will have lunch. Then the path continues along the river bank to the thermal baths of Cocalmayo, in the thermal baths we will have an hour and a half and then walk for 45 more minutes. Santa Teresa - Aguas Calientes: Trekking 16km.


After breakfast we will continue with our walk towards the town of Aguas Calientes or Machu Picchu Pueblo, until we reach Hidroelectrica, where we will have lunch. On the route we can observe a series of waterfalls and we will also have the opportunity to contemplate the mountains of Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu and after walking two hours along the side of the railway we will arrive at Machu Picchu Pueblo.


 

Machu Picchu:


Approximately at 04:30 hrs to walk to Machupicchu an hour and a half up the stairs, to see the sunrise, then if you wish you can go up to Huaynapicchu (book in advance) then visit the most important places such as the Inti Huatana, Temple of the Condor, the sacred rock and others, the guided is two hours. Later, we will return to Machu Picchu town from where the train will take us to the city of Cusco and once we arrive at the station a representative of our company will be waiting for you to transfer you to your hotel in the city of Cusco.
